Working on “The Bee”…

I focused primarily on the movement of actors by assisting Tara Wibrew (Director) and Darcy Rust (Choreographer) in their creative process and execution for production. In rehearsals, my work consisted of sitting in on and note-taking, blocking, and filling in for actors on their off days. In the choreographer's center rehearsals, I would act as a second eye to Darcy and work through quick problem-solving with such a diverse cast and setting.

For performances, I led dance, fight, and movement calls with all actors.

A unique Assistant Directing quality that this production provided was challenging myself to cast four fresh, diverse, and playful guest spellers each night, before the performance. This allowed me, as a young director, to assess my pool of participants and use quick conversations and interactions with audience members to create an ensemble for the cast to interact with each night.
